- Request for experession of interest: Identification of sites of high conservation priority impacted on by feral cats - Expressions of interest are sought from interested parties to develop an independent report for the Department identifying sites where feral cats are having a significant impact - due 30 January 2009
- Call for proposals - Centres of Excellence in Desalination and Water Recycling Establishment of a Centre of Excellence in Desalination based in Perth and a Centre of Excellence in Water Recycling based in Brisbane, each funded at $20 million over five years. The closing date for submitting proposals is 6 February 2009.
- Mandatory Disclosure of Commercial Building Energy Efficiency The Australian Government is working with State and Territory Governments through the National Framework for Energy Efficiency (NFEE) to develop a new nationally consistent mandatory disclosure scheme for commercial office building energy efficiency. Comments close 27 February 2009
- Caring for our Country business plan The Australian Government is now calling for investment proposals for projects that will meet the targets outlined in the Caring for our Country business plan 2009-10. The closing date for submission of proposals is 6 March 2009.
- Southern Basin - Restoring the Balance in the Murray-Darling Basin Program (water entitlement purchasing) - The 2008-09 southern Basin water entitlement purchase round is now open to willing sellers in the southern areas of the Murray-Darling Basin until 5:00pm (EST) 30 June 2009.
